'Stash•4•Cash' Guidelines

Go to: Current 'Stash•4•Cash' Proposals

Do you have:

  • any unwanted old, discontinued knitting or crochet yarn, equipment or even books, magazines or pattern leaflets which you want to turn into cash … or simply give away? (That's right – your 'Stash' doesn't always have to be for 'Cash' to be listed here!)
  • Or anything you need, but can't get hold of?

… then this may be the place to advertise.

But first: if you are looking for currently available, mainstream items, such as yarns and patterns, which are being actively marketed, you will find them much faster by doing some conventional internet searches with the usual Search Engines and Directories, such as Google.(When you have tried all the usual channels and have drawn blank, by all means come back here.)

Here's how things work:

  • You describe in the Proposal Form whatever goods, services, information or advice which are 'Wanted' or On Offer' by you, along with your contact details and a general idea of what sort of deal you are looking for, whether you can deliver/collect or whether you prefer to deal by post, etc.
  • We post the details here on the site (this may take a day or two … )
  • You then just sit back and wait for those responses to roll in!
  • They'll come direct to you (The Guild is not involved), so do make sure you type your contact details accurately!

And finally (the not-so-small print):

  • 'Stash•4•Cash' is intended as a service for Guild Members and other individuals and not for regular business purposes, unless you are closing down. (Note: Anyone who pays for advertising in SlipKnot is entitled to a free listing on our Contacts & Links pages.)
  • The Knitting & Crochet Guild takes copyright issues seriously and does not condone illegal copying (in any form) of material which is copyright protected. Any requests for material which seem potentially to solicit a breach of copyright will be edited
  • 'Stash•4•Cash' is a free service supplied by volunteers andThe Knitting & Crochet Guild is a charitable institution – those who benefit financially by it may wish to make some donation to reflect this
  • It helps to let us know when your proposal is resolved, so that we can take it off the site immediately; otherwise we'll remove it after six months or when there are 49 newer ones, whichever is the sooner
  • The Knitting & Crochet Guild provides this service in good faith for the benefit of the knitting & crochet community worldwide. Anyone participating in it does so at their own risk and they should be aware that they may be contacted by people intending to defraud them
