How to get to Lee Mills

The Knitting & Crochet Guild Collection
Unit 4, Lee Mills, Scholes, Holmfirth, HD9 1RJ

… between 'The Boot & Shoe' and 'The White Horse' in Scholes

From east & south via M1:

Leave M1 at junction 35A; take A628 (A616) signposted Manchester for about 10 miles.

Lee Mills Map - 1

After passing Langsett Barn, A628 Manchester road goes off to the left. You carry on over the roundabout onto A616 – the finger post now says Huddersfield, Holmfirth. On this roundabout you pass a large pub called the Flouch Inn, then over a mini-roundabout.

In about another five miles, upon passing the boundary sign for Jackson Bridge, look about 100m on your left for a turning down to Scholes, signed by a finger post.

Lee Mills Map - 2

Turn here and in another 50m carefully cross over the junction at the bottom. It looks as if you are driving straight into the front door of the White Horse public house … you actually sweep past it to the right.

Continue up the hill (Scholes Road), bending left (Park Side) and in about 200m you will see the road bending to the right.

SatNav Warning: do not rely exclusively on your SatNav or you might end up in a nearby road called 'White Leas Gardens'!

On your left is a mini-carpark and a small road (Leas Gardens) and next to both of them on the bend a driveway with open maroon/brown gates. (Hopefully a K&CG sign and arrow will be on this gate the day you go.

Lee Mills

If you see the Boot & Shoe pub you have gone too far.

Go through the gated area, up the slope and turn with it to the right. Carry on past what used to be Gibson & Booth Accountants and keep bearing right into a large open space.

Unit 4 is on your left – park outside there … free!
