The number is 07908 322248 Guild Library Working DaysThe Knitting & Crochet Guild’s Collection and Library is open to the public only during the warmer months. Winter is the time for housekeeping and preservation. The Guild is taking the opportunity this winter to drive forward new initiatives in cataloguing; in particular we are working towards Accredited Museum Status for our nationally important Collection – but more help is needed. If you would like to help but think you live too far away, think again. Overnight accommodation can be arranged, or you can be met off the train at Leeds or Wakefield. Work will be going on nearly every Saturday this winter, other days can be arranged. Could you be one of the group? Contact Liz at 0113 266 4651 between 9am and 5pm (Call Minder service normally on) The Guild Collection is 'On Show' here Please note: It is essential to find out beforehand which days we're working and confirm with Liz Gillett (0113 266 4651 or email), if you're planning to be there. If we're in what was the office and is now the Library, we keep the outside doors firmly locked, so please be prepared to make yourself heard. We have now arranged for a battery powered, wireless bellpush to be hung on the door when we are locked inside, so arrivals can easily attract our attention – it rings both in the main area and the former office. We also now have a mobile phone at the mill – 07908 322248 – which will be switched on during working days (and Open Days) for people to contact us if they get lost |
